Across the pond in England, there is an annual music festival called Glastonbury which brings together a variety of musical acts. Attendees of Glastonbury range from English college students to full on celebrities like Kate Moss. Glastonbury is the largest greenfield festival in the world, and is now attended by around 175,000 people, requiring extensive infrastructure in terms of security, transport, water, and electricity supply. The majority of staff are volunteers, helping the festival to raise millions of pounds for good causes. One of the most revered women in country music is performing at this year’s Glastonbury Festival… none other than Dolly Parton!
Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi also joined her to sing “Lay Your Hands on Me.” Glastonbury marked one stop on the European tour of this “Backwoods Barbie,” with other shows planned for England, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Western fashion is apparent in the crowds at Glastonbury, even among pop singers! Check out this head to toe western look spotted on British star Rita Ora.
With leather pants, cowboy boots, a fringe purse, a denim jacket, a furry vest, and a cowboy hat, Rita Ora is definitely channeling several western fashion trends at once.
