On July 12, 2019 country music fans got a big surprise when popular actor Chris Pratt took the stage and treated fans to not one, but two country hits in Nashville.

A Night to Remember

The 40 year-old actor who is best known for his roles in the hit Marvel movies as Star-Lord, took the stage in Nashville at Robert’s Western World and began belting out Johnny Cash’s classic “Folsom Prison Blues.”

Nashville-based country artist Sarah Gayle Meech, known for her hit “Watermelon and Root Beer,” shared the staged with the famous actor. Meech began documenting the whole show and even posted a picture on Instagram saying “When Chris Pratt shows up at your @robertswesternworld show to sing Johnny Cash. You never know who will show up at Robert’s Western World… Thank you @prattprattpratt you made our night!”1

However, the night of surprises didn’t stop there. Chris Pratt also made a surprise visit to Tootsies Orchard Lounge and once again didn’t hold back his singing talent. Fans were shocked to hear that Chris Pratt can sing as he performed the classic Garth Brooks hit “Papa Loved Mom.” One fan of the actor tweeted that night “y’all my mom is in Nashville rn and she’s at a bar and CHRIS PRATT just got on stage and started singing.”

Not His First Time Taking the Stage

Although it may come as a shock to some that actor Chris Pratt can sing, this is far from the case. Back in 2017, Pratt sang a duet with country music singer Chris Stapleton while guest hosting the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show. Chris Pratt, who originally rose to fame on the hit television show “Parks and Recreation,” starred in a skit where he was the lead singer for the band Mouse Rat, and that is when viewers first heard the actor’s amazing voice.

Besides his latest stunt singing in Nashville at Robert’s Western World, Pratt gave viewers another taste of his talent when he sang with Garth Brooks at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards in March.

Rock an Outfit Inspired by Christ Pratt

Chris Pratt took the stage sporting an Adidas hat, black jeans, and a laid-back shirt very similar to many of our men’s western shirts here at Sheplers Western Wear. While you may not have the voice of a country singer or the skills of an actor, you can certainly dress like one at an affordable price. Sheplers Western Wear has what you need to look good for any occasion whether it’s a country music concert or a family barbeque.
